Jack Monroe: Labrador retriever/Weimaraner
9 months, Male

Good with dogs, cats and children. Housetrained. Crate trained.
HW-

You may ask yourself, why is this handsome boy not adopted? He is well mannered, knows obedience commands, he is very loyal and loving, house and crate trained, absolutely loves other dogs, lives with cats, and when he loves, he loves completely.

Well, unfortunately Jack Monroe ended up in a shelter at only six months old because his owner mistreated him. Jack was in very poor health and malnourished. Because of this mistreatment, Jack is not very trusting of humans. He has never shown any aggression, but he is just
very nervous and shy towards people outside his foster family.

In his foster home, Jack is a happy, loving goof ball with members of the family, but with visitors, or out in public, he is very scared. Jack's foster mom has been working on building Jack’s confidence around people and will continue to do so until his perfect family comes along!

Jack needs a home that will be very patient with him and work to earn his trust and love. Jack would also love another dog in the home to help him feel secure as a part of the pack. Please fill out an application today!

Kelvin Red: German Shepherd Dog
2 years 10 months, Male

Located in Georgia - Available for adoption in Maine or Florida to an approved adopter.

Good with dogs and older children. Housetrained.
HW-

Kelvin is a beautiful young German Shepherd who was abandoned by his family at an emergency vet after suffering a broken tail. Kelvin has been with us for months recovering and is showing us what an amazing, smart and loving boy he is. He is still very much a puppy and given his size, would do best in a home without small children. We would love to see him go to a home with a family with breed experience and where he won't be crated for long periods of time, as it is important for his sounal recovery to be able to have free movement. Please fill out an application for this deserving, loving young gentleman today!

Nathaniel: Collie/Boxer
8 years 1 month, Male

Located in Georgia - local adoptions only -
Male
Good with cats, dogs, children. Housetrained.
HW -

Nathaniel is truly the most amazing and gentle dog I have ever worked with and although his emotional scars run deep there is never anything but gentleness shown with his fear. He is going to make someone an incredible emotional therapy dog one day. He is very smart and when he trusts he does so with total devotion. "I am so grateful to a rescue that gives me a chance to save and work with the lost and forgotten souls like Nathaniel who are so special and bless my life everyday.” These are the heartfelt words of his foster mom, Debi, in Georgia. Prefer local adoption so we can help him make his transition to a new home as easy as possible. Love and patience are a must and please know that he cannot be off-leash - he could take flight until he knows he is safe and home. If you think you and Nathaniel are meant for each other, please apply.

Simon Birch: Pug/Pekingese
2 years 8 months, Male

Located in Georgia
Male
Good with dogs and older children. Cats unknown. Housetrained. Does not do well on a leash.
HW-

Simon is an adorable older puppy who has obviously not been treated well by people in his young life. He has not shown any signs of aggression, but is very fearful of people and needs to build up confidence and trust. Simon enjoys other dogs and has not been cat-tested. Simon may not do well with younger children given his timidity and fear at this time. He is looking for a forever home with a fenced yard and kind people. Please fill out an application today!

Tim Crook (AKA Snook): Labrador Retriever
4 years 5 months, Male

Located in Georgia - local adoptions only -
Male
Please send us a message to learn more about Snooks!
HW -

Tim Crook (whom we've decided to call "Snooks") is such a loving, wonderful little pup who had a difficult life before he landed in the hands of animal control. When brought in, he was very emaciated and we learned one of his legs was in need of treatment. He has undergone several months of intensive physical therapy and now walks with barely a limp! Tim is very even-tempered and happy. He loves every human he meets and wants to play with every dog he sees. He is crate trained, cat-safe, has taken basic obedience and is an all-around wonderful dog.

Zach Black: Retriever
1 year 0 months, Male

Good with dogs and children, cats unknown. Housetrained.
HW+

Zach was one of seven puppies born to two dogs owned by a rural family in Pulaski County, Georgia. They never gave the puppies away so they grew up and had nine dogs. Mom was spayed but that left Dad and other males to produce more with their female siblings. Animal control came in and told them they would have to surrender the pups and we took one of them. Zack loves kids, is a very affectionate dog and has a typical retriever temperament. He is active but not hyper and will be very trainable. Unfortunately, these pups did not get heartworm preventative either, so at only a year old, poor Zach must undergo through heartworm treatment.
